The project consisted of removal and disposal of hazardous fluid contents from an abandoned 4,500 gallon underground fuel storage tank within the Bald Hills of Redwood National and State Parks near Orick, California. The fluids were pumped into a hazardous material transport vehicle for disposal at an offsite hazardous waste treatment facility. The pumping was successfully completed while protecting the environmentally sensitive area surrounding the work area.
