The work on this project involves adjustments and upgrades to several existing valves throughout the water distribution system at the Alameda US Coast Guard Island. Items to be completed on this contract include replacement of an existing back flow preventer along with associated valves and meters, demolition of existing valves and concrete vaults, replacement with new valves and new concrete vaults. Also included are option items relating to the removal and disposal of existing hazardous transite pipe.
