Concept of project was to create public access to a remote cliff overlook where a substantial amount of improvements had been done to Clear Creek, allowing salmon to return. The work consisted of demolishing and recycled several acres of wooded area, create borrow material from offsite roadway section improving visibility on a curve. Placed fill in recently wooded area and created a parking lot. Custom tailored fills to accommodate additional parking areas. Installed color stamped concrete viewing platform at cliff edge (ADA accessible), perimeter railing, pre-cast restrooms, rip rap, erosion control, landscaping, park benches, paving, curbs, storm drainage piping, and signage.
