Job 62

The project consisted of removal of the existing roof system of a substation electrical control building near Chappell, Nebraska. Following the removal of the existing roof, a new standing seam metal roof system and a new interior ceiling were installed. The new roof installation included the installation of wood trusses, plywood sheeting, steel decking, polyisocyanurate insulation and metal roof sheeting, along with a new grounding system tying the new roof into the existing substation ground grid. One of the major challenges experienced on this project was planning and preparing for extremely cold weather during the month of December in Southwest Nebraska. Site Work Solutions successfully completed the total roof replacement quickly and efficiently while protecting the sensitive electrical components within the building from sub-freezing temperatures.
