City of Redding Sacramento River Trail Extension – This was an extension of the cities master trail campaign. The trail was constructed over the rout know as the historic “Rail Trail”. The Rail Trail was the route aggregate was transported from Turtle Bay to Shasta Dam during the construction of Shasta Dam.
Scope: Re-grade existing aggregate base, reconstruct 2- historical bridges, completely replace 1-historical bridge with like kind (but Steel version), asphalt paving, striping, chain-link fencing. This trail was used by the public during construction.
