Project consisted of improving the asphalt surfaces for the Shasta Dam roundabout without disruption to public and Government traffic. Scope involved; Demolition/recycling of existing asphalt and aggregate base, earthwork, new aggregate base, asphalt paving, storm drains, striping, traffic control. Difficulties; maintaining public access with four points of entry without disrupting access. Damaging unknown utilities and repairing them without disruption and no cost to the Government.
