Job 44

This emergency fast track project included the design, removal, and replacement of the floatation devices on the boathouse due to the fact that the original floatation devices were failing and placing the boat house in jeopardy of sinking. The work consisted of designing the new attachment hardware, the selection and procurement of the proper floatation devices, job planning, scheduling, inspection, and management required to complete the project. The new floats had to be custom fabricated, due to the thicker wall requirements of the specifications. SWS’s in-house staff self-performed one-hundred percent of the field work. Both our field staff and our project management staff worked closely with the client and the engineer to ensure that the project was successfully completed. This project was completed with-in 34 days of final award of the contract, which included both the custom fabrication and shipping from Henderson Plastics from Gravette, Arkansas.
