Concrete crack repair at Intake Tower of Cherry Creek Dam, Colorado, includes: Cleaning existing surface mortar from identified cracked areas, drilling injection holes at maximum 30″ spacing, installing injection ports, placing crack surface sealer, injecting applicable repair media, including epoxy for cracks with minimal water leakage and chemical grout for non-structural repairs in areas with significant water leakage; sounding and repairing unsound concrete at the repair areas. Cracks exist both inside and outside the intake structure, requiring distinctly different access methods including a 160′ boom lift for access to outside cracks from the adjacent access road.
